Texas Music Educators Association is an organization of over 11,000 school music educators dedicated to promoting excellence and advocating music education in Texas schools.
TMEA is comprised of five divisions: Band, Orchestra, Vocal, Elementary and College. TMEA Leaders carefully monitor the actions of all state decision-making bodies on issues affecting fine arts instruction. |

TMEA Mentorship Network Sign-up
TMEA provides the Mentoring Network to link new music educators and those new to Texas with successful music education professionals. This program of one-on-one mentoring is established for a minimum of one year. Mentors serve as resources and offer guidance for new teachers, observe them and offer feedback, and become a new teacher’s champion.
